How to organize my front room- furniture placement wise? - large christmas tree stands

I moved into a new house and I'm having trouble placing my furniture and now a Christmas tree. The door opens and you can go straight to the kitchen, on the right side of the road for cooking is the bedroom door and a flat wall through to the kitchen. on the left side, where it opens, just a square room with a large window near the front door and another window on the left wall. so it's like walking into a square cut of half the total, if this make sense? a picture would be better, but I did not. : (I have 2 sofas, large coffee table to observe what is my TV set, a Christmas table iy.
